This past weekend, I took my girls to see Scrooge! at Children’s Theatre. What an incredible holiday treat that was!
Scrooge! is based on “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens and includes all of your favorite songs and unforgettable characters. Miserly Ebenezer Scrooge’s “Bah!, Humbug!” opinion of Christmas grates on everyone around him. But when Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former partner and three Christmas spirits, he realizes that he needs to change his curmudgeonly ways – just in time for Christmas Day!
My girls were mesmerized and this was perfect to teach them to appreciate all aspects of the holiday season. The Children’s Theatre website recommends this performance for ages 7 and up and I definitely agree. Children any younger would not follow the story line. This show is a must-see and there is still time to get tickets!
