The Smarty party totally lucked out recently when Charlotte Star Room hosted our rowdy bunch of eleven lil’ Smarties ages 4-11 (boys AND girls). The snow was starting to fall (remember that? Snow?), but that didn’t stop us from heating up the recording studio with a little bit of “Uptown Funk” and a dash of “Firework.”
I’m from Charlotte, and one of the best birthday parties I can recall was my sister’s thirteenth birthday at the old Carowinds recording studio. We still have the VHS, and I STILL remember how much fun we had performing in our own music video (I know you’re dying to know – we sang “Walk this Way” and “Open Your Heart”). Hosting a birthday party at Charlotte Star Room is easy peezy – the Star Room vocal coach helps choose songs for you and your guests to record and will lead you in professional and fun vocal warm-ups – our vocal coach was one of the most patient people in the world. Imagine trying to find a song that eleven boys and girls know well enough to SING (not not just lip sync!).
