Carolina Flipz Backhand Spring Blitz Camp
June 30-July 1. Pick 1 day, 2 days, or 3 days. 12:00pm – 2:00pm. Ages 6-14.
This intense back handspring blitz camp will give your gymnast, dancer, cheerleader the jump start they need to getting this difficult tumbling skill. Each day they break down the form and technique of the back handspring in order to prepare the mind for what the body is trying to accomplish. Even though this skill looks easy it is one of the hardest skills for gymnasts and cheerleaders to learn correctly so we use progressions to teach this skills safely.

Summary: Bring your family for a night of fun out under the stars at the Adventure Center on the Anne Springs Close Greenway. We’ll have fun activities for all ages! Activities will include a guided family-friendly hike, kayaking (age restrictions apply), fishing, fun family games, and a hot dog dinner over the campfire with all the fixings! Then we’ll finish the evening with s’mores and a campfire sing-a-long under the stars! Camping equipment is not provided, but you can rent items from REI-Pineville.
Parents/Adult Guardian must be present and remain with children at all times.Bathrooms are available, though shower facilities are not. This is a rain or shine event. In the event of rain, we will move most activities inside, though some things will be altered/adapted.

Summary: Founded in 1932, the Charlotte Symphony is the largest and most active professional performing arts organization in the central Carolinas, giving nearly 100 performances each season and reaching an annual attendance of 200,000 listeners. Internationally acclaimed conductor, Christopher Warren-Green, has led the CSO as Music Director since 2010 and recently renewed his contract through 2016. He is also the music director for the London Chamber Orchestra and served as the conductor for Prince William and Catherine Middleton’s wedding.

The nationwide revolution of the food truck industry has hit Charlotte, and we’ve got an ever-growing community of trucks that cater to your every taste. From burgers to tacos to soul food to cupcakes to ice cream and everything in between…there’s something for everyone. Meeting every Friday night since February 2012, Food Truck Fridays have taken the city by storm. Periodically featuring entertainment as well, the crowds have swelled to over 1,000 each week. We’re family and dog-friendly, too! So bring a chair, bring a blanket, BYOB, bring the kids, take the dog…it’s a neighborhood night out in a relaxed, casual atmosphere.
