Smarty tips to project your eyes from UV damage:

• Wear sunglasses that are labeled with 100% UVA and UVB protection. If you wear prescription eyeglasses you can have a pair of prescription sunglasses made.

• Wear a brimmed hat to project the skin around the eyes.

• Even if your contact lenses have UV protection, remember to wear your sunglasses too.

• Never look directly at the sun.

• Avoid exposure between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. when the sun’s UV rays are the strongest.
