Smarties, we’re super excited to announce that our FAVORITE swimming spot near the QC is now open! The Quarry at Carrigan Farms is ready for your summer fun!
Located just outside Charlotte in Mooresville, The Quarry is fed by an underground spring and rimmed in rock that rises to 70 feet – it’s absolutely stunning. The water is emerald green and blue with gray granite cliffs and a white, sandy beach – it’s perfect for a family picnic and swimming on a hot Carolina day. What we love about the Quarry is it has no age barriers – kids ages 4 (we recommend this outing if all of your kids can swim) all the way through high school and college will enjoy the Quarry just as much as you do. Your entire fam will enjoy cliff jumping, rope swinging, swimming, lounging, volleyball, and more.
We highly recommend making your reservation in advance due to popular demand. Open Swim begins May 18th. Dates through June 2nd are bookable now with more dates coming soon.
Online Reservation Details:
Open daily 10a-3p, plus select evenings.
Cost is $30 total per person ($5 deposit online + $25 due at the door. Cash only at the door). Book here.
What Not to Bring:
There are no coolers allowed at Open Swim. Please don’t bring pets: dogs, cats, baby goats, etc. Also, please do not bring alcoholic beverages or glass bottles of any sort. Grilling and cooking on site is not permitted. Also, please don’t bring large rafts, paddle boards, kayaks or boats.
Fishing:
Customers with an open swim reservation can enjoy catch-and-release fishing at two farm ponds during open swim. The ponds have bass, bream and crappie. Fishing is not permitted in The Quarry, or at non-open swim times. All fishing is catch-and-release, meaning that the fish cannot be taken home and must be returned to the pond. Be sure to bring your own gear.
