I feel like the mamas at The Box Full so get me. They know how crazy and hectic the holiday season is and how sometimes you just need to find simple and easy ways to keep your children happy and engaged, without a lot of fuss. That’s what they’ve created with the “Merry Magic” mini-packets!
These 25 pages of craft and activity sheets are a pared down version of what you get in the full “Box Full” set. They come minus the stickers, ribbons, pom-poms and other crafty materials. You get page after page of activity sheets, and that’s all you need! So all I had to do was pull out my sons “art boxes” (with a full array of colored pens and pencils) and three pairs of scissors and they were off and creating!
The mini packets are priced at just $15 per packet so it’s easy to purchase one for every child! (Save the arguments over who is doing what for another day!) My boys, ages 6 and 5-year-old twins, had the best time coloring, counting and creating while I made dinner, answered pressing e-mails and caught my breath -knowing they were doing something so good and not just sitting in front of a screen. The winter-themed sheets focus on literacy, numeracy, fine motor skills, and repeatable activities, but to them it’s just fun!
My boys’ favorites so far have been holiday coloring sheets as well as the dot marker gingerbread house. And there are plenty more sheets to pull out in the weeks ahead, especially after school is out and I’m looking for ways to keep their little minds engaged. There are mazes, matching games, cutting exercises and I noticed a card-making craft, which we might just use to make Christmas cards for our teachers! Multi-tasking at its finest!
These Merry Magic packets are not just great for moms to have around the house and easy to take on holiday trips, but they make wonderful gifts for friends and family. Even if your friends don’t receive it until Christmas, the packets are wrapped in plastic and super easy to pack up and store for the next Christmas season. Or give them as an early gift instead of or along with baked goods! You can have packets shipped to your door or do a local pickup. For more information, visit The Box Full website. If you’re like me you’ll get hooked on such a wonderful locally-owned business.
