Charlotte Ballet Academy has begun enrolling students for the 2022-23 school year, which starts Aug. 29. The program is for dancers ages 3 and up, at all skill levels.
Classes include the highest quality of instruction in ballet, modern, jazz and more. Academy classes are held in two locations in Charlotte for your convenience – the Center for Dance in Uptown or at our South Charlotte campus at Charlotte Country Day School.
Young dancers aren’t the only ones who get to stay moving with Charlotte Ballet Academy! Adult Drop-In Classes start back August 29, providing a space for adults of all dance backgrounds to stay moving in a creative and empowering way. Join Charlotte Ballet at the Center for Dance for Beginning Ballet, Power Dance, Intermediate Ballet, and Intermediate/Advanced Tap each week.
Charlotte Ballet Academy has been a vital part of Charlotte Ballet and the Charlotte dance community for almost 30 years. To this day, Charlotte Ballet Academy is the only school of ballet in North Carolina affiliated with a nationally renowned professional ballet company! The faculty and instructors are committed to providing a nurturing and structured environment that encourages individuality, creative expression and an appreciation for the art of dance.
This year, the Academy is also excited to welcome back the youngest artists for this year’s Nutcracker performance. Exclusive to Academy students, children ages 9 and up have the opportunity to audition for Charlotte Ballet’s Storybook performances, including Nutcracker and Peter Pan.
