Families can come together for a full weekend of spring fun! Maybe your camper had a blast at Camp Harrison last summer and can’t wait a full year to return, or maybe you know someone who wants to give Harrison a try – these are great weekends to do it – and safely. Rest assured, your family will create lasting memories by participating in the super fun camp activities, relaxing by the campfire, and unplugging together.
Spring Mom & Me Weekend – May 20-22:
At Mom & Me, everyone can adventure on the ropes course and climbing wall, hike beautiful waterfall trails, try target sports and see the lake by boat. The Mom & Me Weekend individual pricing includes lodging, meals, and exciting camp activities throughout the weekend.
Individual Pricing: Each Mom & Child – $150, babies under four are free. Register here.
Smarty Note: You and your family will be placed in a cabin with other individuals – but don’t be afraid, you’ll have a blast, camp style!
Memorial Day Family Retreat Weekend – May 27-30:
At family camp, you get to enjoy all of the amenities at Camp Harrison, plus you get a chance as a family to check camp out and make sure it’s a fit for your kids! Best part, your kids will be off with the counselors doing all the things they love like the ropes course, paintball, mountain biking, boating, swimming, hiking, s’mores and more! While the kids are at play, parents can do just that or chill in your enos, it’s totally your call.
Cabin Pricing: $1600.00 for the cabin and will cover up to 16 people. Trust us, you’re going to want to gather your besties and reserve the whole cabin.
Camp Harrison is a very special place for all of our ‘lil Smarties on Team Smarty Pants. From ‘smores to counselors, we have over 20 Smarty kids and counting who have grown up going to Camp Harrison every summer. They are creating bonds with kids from all over that will last a lifetime.

Located between Lenoir and North Wilkesboro in North Carolina, YMCA Camp Harrison at Herring Ridge gives kids ages 6-16 the chance to make life-long memories on over 2,000 acres of land, streams, and trails just 90 miles from Charlotte in the mountains of North Carolina.
When children join YMCA Camp Harrison, they can expect to enjoy God’s creation, build relationships and challenge themselves as they learn new skills. Our campers develop lifelong friendships by embracing authenticity and accepting their differences. While many of our visitors join us as guests, they leave as family.
As a Christian organization, we want each camper to understand what it means to have a relationship with Christ. Morning watch, vespers services and nightly cabin devotions highlight our Christian values through the study of God’s Word, worship songs, testimonies and more.
