About Feeding Charlotte:
Feeding Charlotte collects fresh, unserved, surplus meals from restaurants, caterers and institutions and delivers the meals to local nonprofits who feed the hungry in order to reduce food waste and ease hunger.
The Impact of COVID-19 Specific Needs:
The COVID-19 pandemic has closed Feeding Charlotte’s largest institutional food donors. As a result, they have expanded their mission to also support the broader restaurant industry. They have developed partnerships with struggling caterers and restaurants to directly distribute their food to those in need.
