Smarties: Save the date and buy tickets now for a wonderful event happening this spring. The Alzheimer’s Association is hosting its Fourth Annual Charlotte Memory Gala, a memorable night in the fight against a disease that erases such moments, on May 16, 2020, at The Westin Charlotte.
Here’s what the Alzheimer’s Association says about the event:
Alzheimer’s compels us to appreciate the facts that not only are our memories guaranteed but to re-evaluate our ability to treasure accomplishments and savor life’s simple pleasures. The creation of the Memory Gala stems from these ideas and is a powerful way to raise funds and awareness for the almost 6 million Americans whose memories are being stolen from them by this disease.
Co-chaired by Cari and Tom Berger, this elegant affair includes a welcoming reception and silent auction, wine pull, seated dinner, live auction, dancing, and musical entertainment provided by Kingdaddy.

NFL player and coach Marty Schottenheimer with his daughter Kristen that was taken during the 2019 Memory Gala. Marty is currently living with the disease and was the recipient of the 2018 Memory Gala’s Award of Excellence
