24th Annual Hopebuilders 5k
Proceeds from the Hopebuilders 5K exclusively benefit the areas of greatest need at Levine Children’s Hospital, allowing children in our region to access the world-class care they deserve where they need it most – close to home. You can have a real, lasting impact on a child being treated at Levine Children’s by joining the Hopebuilders 5K today at Hopebuilders5K.org.
Join a team
One of the best parts of this race is the ability to join a team and fundraise for a great cause. We wanted to highlight one of these amazing teams to give you an idea of what you can be a part of!
Team IDEA:

Physician leader: Dr. Niraj Patel
Team Purpose: Through their annual participation in the Hopebuilders 5K, Dr. Patel and his teammates raise funds and awareness for the Pediatric Immunology Clinic at Levine Children’s Hospital. Team “IDEA” stands for Immune Deficiency Education and Advocacy. The group aims to raise awareness of immune deficiency in children and adolescents, and raise funds to ensure children battling immunodeficiency disorders receive the very best care at Levine Children’s to live life to the fullest, while facing chronic, often life-long immune system disorders. Support for Team IDEA and the Immunology Clinic also helps Levine Children’s host distinguished speakers from across the country to help educate patients and families about their conditions, and also helps to fund college scholarships for young students who have primary immune-deficiencies. Charitable support provides Levine Children’s Immunology Clinic with vital resources such as support staff, medical supplies, lab tests, and related medical expenses arising from clinical research to improve treatment of pediatric immunodeficiencies.
