The story opens as the Stahlbaum family welcomes friends and family to their annual Christmas gala. We do a 25 days of Christmas kindness project each year and make a list and do a random act of kindness each day. For example- bring coffee to a teacher, leave bubbles on a friends porch, take cards to a nursing home, etc. it really helps us take time each day to Spread kindness!
Our favorite tradition is to decorate the Christmas tree while watching “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and baking Christmas cookies as a family! We’ve been doing it since I was a little girl and I love it!
My favorite holiday tradition is getting our Christmas tree! Each year, my family, my brother’s family, our parents and grandmother travel to Newland, NC. We all pick out our Christmas tree from a choose and cut tree farm.
Watching the old grinch & charlie brown specials with my kids!
One of our favorite traditions is driving around Charlotte – hot chocolates in hand, holiday tunes on high – to find the neighborhoods with the best Christmas lights.
Going to see the Nutcraker!! And both girls are finally old enough, yay!!!!
Our favorite family holiday tradition is decorating gingerbread houses together as a family!
Cooking with my grandma and mom!!! Also, helping others in need this time of year.
I love baking, singing christmas carols, and just seeing how happy everone is during that time of year. 😀
We love singing and dancing to holiday music while decorating for holidays. We love making hot chocolate and going to see the holiday lights. It’s such a magical time of the year. My daughter has nutcracker tickets on her Christmas list this year so winning this would be amazing!
We make new ornaments for our Christmas tree every year. The kids love it and on Christmas we sing happy birthday to Jesus.
Driving around Charlotte looking for the best Christmas lights.
Our family tradition has always been going to see the Nutcracker. After My dad’s passing this october. I want to start this tradition with my family in his honor❤️❤️❤️
Making the Christmas season not about the 1 day, rather having it start from Dec. 1st. The entire month, our family enjoys spending time together with seeing Christmas lights in various neighborhoods, baking, watching Christmas choirs, going to see poinsettias and other Christmas plants at nurseries, and spending time with others. It is such a special time of year for us! (And yes, seeing the Nutcracker would be pretty fantastic too!) 🙂
Making gingerbread houses, cookies, looking at all the lights and seeing lots of Xmas shows like the nutcracker!
Favorite holiday tradition is going to the mountains to cut down our own tree. We also go see the Nutcracker every year so we would love these tickets!
Our favorite family traditions have been baking Christmas cookies, going to the Festival of Lights, making shoeboxes for Operation Christmas child, and more. I’m MOST excited about starting our own family traditions this year for our 9 months’ old first Christmas! ❤️
Favorite tradition is baking cookies!!!
We like going to McAdenville to see the Christmas lights!
Going to see the Nutcracker!
Every part of Christmas is a tradition. From hanging lights, to decorating, baking to going to the dollar tree and letting each child pick a gift for each other. It all means being together, sharing, and remembering the true gift, Jesus!
Our favorite family tradition is traveling to Vermont to spend a nice white Christmas surrounded by family!!
We make tamales and empandas every holiday!
Decorating the house, making cookies, gathering with family!
Our favorite family tradition is packing the car with snacks & hot chocolate, and going on a Holiday Lights tour of Charlotte!
My favorite holiday tradition is our elf we named Red
I wrap up 24 Christmas books and every night the kids take turns opening a book for us to read together that night. It has become a sweet and cozy time for all of us each evening and a fun way to count down until Christmas. I love sharing those same stories year after year with my kids.
So hard to choose! Our elves “come back” on Dec. 1; we always drive around to look at the lights on Christmas Eve; we have the same surf and turf dinner Christmas eve, and we always make cookies and treats. Only open 1 present Christmas Eve too!
For the kids, every year we get together with friends and the kids decorate christmas cookies. The moms do not drink any wine at this gathering. Every year there is a new family or kid added to the group. The kids look forward to it. For the past few years my friends and I have an ornament exchange, and with neighborhood friends we do a secret santa where we leave 5 or more little surprises (not totaling more than $30) at each other’s door from thanksgiving to Christmas. Sometimes it is just the recipient’s favorite candy, or a lip gloss, a holiday decoration, or a pair of earrings. It is a sweet way to celebrate our friendships.
