I am excited to introduce you to this week’s Smarty Mom. I’ve had the privilege of working with this Smarty Mom-to-be at a local ad agency. She is a multi-tasking multi-talented person and is expecting her first baby this March. No doubt she is going to be an amazing mother. Let’s get to know Christen.

Tell us about your pregnancy! I have had a very easy and pleasant pregnancy. I was able to travel to Europe and buy and move into a house with ease. I have loved it!
What do you expect the first week of mommihood to be like? Like nothing I have ever experienced (in good ways and some tough ones).
What has been your “must have” pregnancy item? Tums! Ha!
Have you had any wild cravings? Ice and cold water
What maternity pieces have been your favorites? Leggings!
What baby item from your registry are you looking forward to using? The Paddington Bear travel books but also all of her sweet swaddle blankets and onesies.
What are your expectations about coming back to work? It is going to be the hardest thing to do…but hopefully worth it in the end!
What’s your advice for other Smarties just starting their pregnancy journey? Enjoy each moment; even the hard and uncomfortable ones because it really goes so fast!
What is your ideal date night? Trying a restaurant my husband and I have never tried and maybe a movie!
What is your favorite spot in the Queen City? McGill Rose Garden
Favorite Smarty phone app? Pregnancy related: Baby Center, My Pregnancy Non-pregnancy related: Golden Hour (helps me determine the best time of day to go out and shoot photography!)
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? With one or two more kids, happy with my husband, and growing my photography business.
I could not live without …. Other than my husband… my photographs, documenting my travels, family and friends.
