The 2015 Smarty Holiday Gift Guide is sponsored by our favorite local toy store, Toys & Co in Cotswold. Find everything on your child’s wish list and then some at Toys & Co! And guess what? They will wrap every gift BEAUTIFULLY and oh-so-expertly – so you don’t have to pull an all-nighter on Christmas Eve!
Our holiday gift guide continues this week with ages 6-10. Cynthia and Rachel teamed up on this one – Rachel is an EXPERT shopper, so rest-assured these are some good picks. If you have more gift ideas for ages 6-10, share ’em in the Comments section! We’d love to hear!
Cynthia’s Picks
They’re baAck! Yep, Pokemon Cards are back and as big as ever! If you have a child (at our school anyway) in 2nd, 3rd or 4th grade, then you’ve heard “EX, Mega EX, and XY” more times than you care to admit. Find your Pokemon man a Mega EX card, and win the “best mom/dad ever” award.
I’m all for limiting screen time, but when rainy days call for a little indoor fun that can also get the “wiggles” out, you want this bad boy in your back pocket! It’s fun for the whole family, and BONUS, because it’s a kids version, you don’t have to worry about any inappropriate lyrics or moves. This is a must for those rainy days!
I don’t know about your house, but at Casa de Clark, LEGO’s never go out of style! Sure, they might change in format from time to time (I miss those days of big ole’ Duplos blocks that were impossible to step on…unlike these tiny bad boys ;o) But at the end of the day, I LOVE it when I look in the living room and see my kids happily building and using their imaginations. Right now Elves and Minecraft seem to be the most requested kind at our house.
If you have a Science junkie in your house like we do, they will LOVE this version of Snap Circuits. Yes, it’s a little pricey, but if you have a budding engineer in your house, this gift will be a huge hit!!!
Designed by our Smarty own, Mai-Lis Bahr and Meghan Hampton, we adore this line of girls athletic clothes. For girls sizes 5-16, these are perfect for your active tweenager. So proud of these gals!
CSP adores ivivva, we are in that Myers Park showroom weekly! ivivva is lululemon’s baby sister, active girls ages 6-14 will become addicted to these fab clothes. Our fave right now is this good in the hood hoodie, so warm and cozy. Also, rumor has it they will have an AMAZING Black Friday ditty with a Made With Love theme. Y’all better log on tomorrow and fast, I’m sure this will sell out in a skinny minute.

These are the skates that are a MUST! The Cardiff Skates offer a level of comfort and convenience to skating because they fit over your favorite shoes and adjusts to the perfect size. The reviews on them have been great!
Penny Skateboards Standard Skateboards
Skateboarding is back with the reintroduction of the Penny Skateboard. Girls and boys alike will love mastering the skills of skateboarding. It is durable and lightweight and easy to maneuver. I know some adults that might light one of these too.
