Smarties, this is a MUST for the holiday season, Charlotte Youth Ballet’s Nutcracker is one of our favorite holiday treats! The Charlotte Youth Ballet brings to the stage its 34th annual holiday classic production of Tchaikosvky’s The Nutcracker featuring the choreography of Charlotte legend Gay Porter and Bridget Young. Start your family’s holiday tradition with this magical performance!
Featuring more than 100 dancers, the production is a blend of international guest artists and regional youth dancers. While true to the classic production, this choreography also offers unique twists to the fairytale that will delight audiences of all ages. Following the show, audience members will have the opportunity to get autographs from dancers as well as have photographs made with performers including, the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Nutcracker Prince, Clara and more.
Performances are Friday, December 4 at 7:00 pm; Saturday, December 5 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm; and Sunday, December 6 at 2:30 pm. Special preview performances for students and seniors are at 9:30 am and 11:30 am on Friday December, 4. All shows are at the Dale Halton Theater on the CPCC main campus. Parking is free.
