Classroom supply lists are already at Target. Soon we will be strolling through aisles of school supplies with our children, getting them ready to learn this fall. But we are the lucky ones because we can provide our children with the tools and supplies they need to be successful in the classroom.
Did you know that 50% of our region’s students are living in poverty? Due to this staggering statistic, in early 2000 a team of local business leaders set out to provide free school supplies to children living in poverty. Classroom Central now equips students living in poverty to effectively learn by collecting and distributing free school supplies. They currently support over 100,000 students in poverty in over 200 schools and in 6 school districts in our area. Amazing right?
One of the things we love about a large majority of our CSP partnerships is the overwhelming desire that they have to give back to the community they live in. SkyZone is one of those great partners who are always doing something to improve the lives of people in their community and their new promotion is an example of this.
Starting August 3rd and running through August 15th, SkyZone will host a back to school promotion in support of our local Classroom Central. Any jumper who brings in 3 new (in package) school supplies and presents them upon check-in when purchasing their jump time, will receive a FREE 30-minute jump pass that can be used at any time during the month of September. This promotion is eligible for as many jumpers as you bring! So, if you are purchasing jump passes for 3 children, you will need a total of 9 new school supply donations to receive your 3, 30-minute jump passes.
SkyZone will also be providing drop boxes in their Pineville location for anyone who wishes to make a general school supply donation as well.
