Summary: The Southern Spring Home & Garden Show returns to its roots in 2015 with a theme saluting the best of the Carolinas. From the mountains to the coast. Musicians to Philanthropists. BarBQ to Moon Pie and Pepsi. Forest lands to Financial Centers. Dogwoodsand Daydreamers. We’ve got it all … and it will all be brought into beautiful focus by hundreds of talented men and women who love calling Carolina home.
There will also be a special appearance from UNC-TV. Representatives from UNC-TV will exhibit at the show all six days but on Sunday, February 22 join UNC-TV as the station “comes to life” with hosts from various programs, musical entertainment and a fun ‘SPRINGO’ (like Bingo) game for the entire family at the Entertainment Stage.

Summary: Come and spend some time with us and these inquisitive creatures! Over 600 alpacas are registered from all over the country participating in the Halter Show. An assortment of educational seminars and classes are available to the public for their enjoyment. Other activities include a Public Welcome Center with Children’s Activities, Photo Contest, Silent Auction, Fiber Arts and Skein Contests, Spin-off Contest, Fiber Arts Demonstrations, and plenty of Vendors to buy that special gift for that special someone! Fun for the entire family!
Innovative Works

Summary: The always popular Innovative Works series exhibits new works and the strength of the dancers in the intimate 200-seat theater at the Center for Dance. Former Company dancer David Ingram returns to create a world premiere integrating technology and ballet, and choreographers Mark Diamond, Sasha Janes and Dwight Rhoden are all creating new works to be showcased. You are invited to join the dancers for dessert and coffee after the performance.

Summary: Every Friday night, Charlotte’s favorite food trucks gather on the lot at the corner of Park and Camden in the Historic South End. These aren’t the roach coaches of yesteryear! The nationwide revolution of the food truck industry has hit Charlotte, and we’ve got an ever-growing community of trucks that cater to your every taste. From burgers to tacos to soul food to cupcakes to ice cream and everything in between…there’s something for everyone. Meeting every Friday night since February 2012, Food Truck Fridays have taken the city by storm. Periodically featuring entertainment as well, the crowds have swelled to over 1,000 each week. We’re family and dog-friendly, too! So bring a chair, bring a blanket, BYOB, bring the kids, take the dog…it’s a neighborhood night out in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Most of the trucks accept credit cards as well as cash. Accessible by public transportation…take the light rail to Bland Station. A good time and great food are guaranteed!

Supporters can release a raptor, adopt a bird, make a charitable donation, purchase a membership or sponsor a capital improvement project. CRC’s environmental education programs reach approximately 40,000 students each year. Our Raptor Trail hosts more than 35,000 visitors a year.
