Smarties, registration is going on NOW for the 19th annual Hopebuilders 5k and the 3rd annual Stroller Roller 5k on October 18 to benefit Carolinas HealthCare System’s Levine Children’s Hospital. This is Levine’s MAJOR fundraising event of the year and one of the most loved 5ks in town. It’s a Fall family activity MUST in the Queen City.
Hopebuilders was started by 2 local Charlotte families to honor the memory of Margaret Harris and David Silverman who were both treated locally for brain cancer. Close to 1,300 runners, walkers, fundraisers, caregivers, former patients, and current patients from Levine Children’s Hospital participate. It’s a morning full of fun with activities for all ages and athletic abilities (code: you don’t need to be an Olympic runner to have fun! ;-)).
Registration can be as an individual or a team. Check out their website for more details.
