One of the best festivals around is THIS weekend, Smarties. Ballantyne is hosting its 4th annual Ballantyne Festival this Saturday, October 11, from 11 am-9 pm. It’s a full day of autumn-inspired activities for adults, kids and families alike. Beginning late morning, there will be a chili cook-off, games, inflatables, pumpkin painting, hayride, performances, crafts, and more. Live music kicks off in the afternoon, complemented by an oyster roast, beer, and wine served into the evening. 
Some of the food and drink vendors you’ll see there are Elwoods BBQ and Burger Bar, True Crafted Pizza, Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, Cru Wine Shop, Sugar Homemade Donuts, Decadent Designs Bakery, and Carolina Fish Market.
