HOLST+LEE’s co-owner and Charlotte native Natalie Holst explains what was behind all of it:

When I was first approached to design jewelry for this wonderful cause I was absolutely honored and humbled at the opportunity to help in any way with the research towards eradicating breast cancer. Little did I know my life would be personally touched and affected by this very cause. This year my wonderful, kind, giving, and eternally optimistic friend Sabrina Watt lost her 4 year battle with breast cancer. She was a person who exemplifies the kind of courage and grace it takes to face such a horrible disease. Instead of feeling sorry for herself she spent her time helping others who suffered from a different disease and refused to let cancer define her life. I’m dedicating this jewelry to her memory. May it be a reminder of her beautiful smile and her strength of character. Always remember that the battle against cancer is won not by beating it, but by bringing light and hope to others through your struggle.
