I think making new memories and new friends.
Anything in the water!
The opportunity to be the wild free spirit she is (and swim a ton!). Thanks!
His first experience at sleep away camp!!
Looks like a wonderful experience for children. A water dream for swimmers like fishes! Learning life skills and love the ratio of children 4-1 per adult.
Lots of adventures, making new friends, getting a break from his siblings
they have a fantastic waterfront program with captain bill!
My son will love the water sports and getting a break from his little brother!
My son would absolutely love all of the water sports. He would also love being with kids his own age for a week.
My Son would just love being outdoors every second of everyday!! My Daughter would love making tons of friends and learning how to ski!!
My daughter would be so grateful for the opportunity to experience Camp Thunderbird. She would love all of it.
The rope courses as well all the water fun!
My son would love anything on/in the water!
She has been there with Y Guides and LOVES the Banana Boat!
Making new friends, and gaining some independence. Thanks for the chance!
Anything and everything in and in the water!!
Water sports
A week of water, new friends and crafts
Wake boarding, ropes course, sleeping at camp overnight!
The water sports!
Everything outdoors!
Getting to be a kid!!! Foster life is tough!!
My son has never been to camp! I think he would just enjoy being a kid and not having to worry about taking medicine and dealing with a stressful home life for a week.
Kennedy would love to meet new friends. she would love to participate in all the water activities. she would enjoy the land and the answers too.
The friends he would make at camp. I still keep in touch with friends from the Y camp I went to as a child.
It would be my son’s first overnight camp and hopefully he would open up and experience all the wonder around him.
My son will love being outside all day with new buddies! He will also be all over the water stuff.
Being able to make new friends and the water activities.
All of the wonderful eater activities
The zipline and, oddly, the cafeteria style lunch! He went with Y-Guides in the Fall and those were his favorite parts! Along with archery, rifelry, canoeing, snakes … all things boy and outdoors.
Jack is very social so making new friends combined with the independence of being away from home will be ideal. He’s active so the social aspect is a close tie with any of the physical activities. I would love to reward him with completing his first year of kindergarten with some fun at camp thunderbird.
My son would love making new friends, being active nearly 100% of the time and escaping from his younger siblings
The “big kid” experience of sleep away camp!
Anything in the water!
The zip Line!!!!!
My daughter would love the freedom of it all… making new friends, crafts, being close to the water, etc!
Zip Lines!!
My son has gone on two Y-Guides trips to Camp Thunderbird and LOVED it. He said he would enjoy everything at camp, but is especially excited about archery!
Sleeping away at a camp for the first time! And of course all the water activities.
Anything to do with water!!!!
My guy would live the opportunity to learn to sail – and make new friends in the process! Thank you!!
I had the chance to work at Camp Thunderbird in college and always envisioned my daughter having the chance to go there. I think she would love the opportunity to learn water sports, ride horses and make new friends. I think her favorite thing would be bonding with me over all the camp thunderbird traditions.
My daughter went to day camp there last year and would LOVE the opportunity to spend the night. She would especially love the water sports, horseback riding and ropes courses. And I saw they’re going to have geo-caching, which she will really love.
Love that it is a sleepaway camp that is close, but feels far. It also looks like it provides a wide variety of activites, so there is something for every type of child!
My daughter would love to meet new friends, have new experiences, and horse-back riding!!! So fun!
Synjin asks to go to Camp Thunderbird every time we travel over the Buster Boyd bridge, and he has since he could speak. The opportunity for growth and learning new things in the beautiful outdoors would delight him. What a cool opportunity to allow him to learn what life is like truly “unplugged” and I can attest that camp experiences are life changing and forever memorable. Thank you!
Being a big kid and running through the woods. Who doesn’t love summer camp!
This will give her an opportunity to try new things with us around. I think she is a little more self conscious when we are standing there but when we are not around or she thinks we are not looking – she will put her toe in the ocean (girl is scared of water) or climb to the top of the jungle gym to prove she can do it and not have to “fail” in front of us. I think this will help her in so many ways!
I think he would absolutely love the water activities the mist!!!
My son would love the water sports!
My son would mostly like making new friends and any of the water sports!!!
Who won??
Hi everyone- Still coordinating with the winner. Stay tuned!
