Every Mom knows that baby shoes are a complete annoyance. But one Mom decided to take action. Using a scrap of leather from a yard sale, Susan Petersen sat down at her kitchen table to make a shoe that was both fashionable AND stayed on her chubby baby’s feet. The result? Freshly Picked Moccasins.

I’ll admit, I was a bit skeptical of the trend, especially since they are relatively pricey. I wondered if they would really stay on my fast-paced toddler’s feet and how the soft-soled leather would hold up after park dates. Let me tell you, they live up to the hype and then some! These shoes haven’t fallen off Annie’s feet once. They are hip, stylish AND functional. Worth every penny. My motto for toddler shoes has been to find one great pair for each season, make the investment and then make them last.
