Every responsible parent should have tools they need to talk to their kids about issues they face every day. Join teen behavior expert Josh Shipp and ZABRA for a town hall meeting where parents in the Charlotte community will gather to discuss how to be the best digital parent kids today need. Today’s online sharing can make parenting difficult. Parents can’t be everywhere to protect their kids from sharing personal information on networks where the entire world can see it. Cyber Behavior Awareness Week is ZABRA’s effort to make both parents and kids safe and responsible cyber citizens.
Parents will leave the event with ZABRA’s knowledge of how to navigate potential online dangers, as well as a cyber citizenship badge that parents can share with their children as a symbol of trust when interacting online.
– 1 in 3 young persons has been threatened online
– 1 in 4 kids will be bullied online
– 70% of those kids don’t tell their parents
