In no particular order, here is a list of our top ten posts of 2012. We write at least one article a day, often times two and three. It’s sad to see it go into the bloggers world abyss, so we’re reliving a few of our faves! Enjoy!
A Letter to the Newtown Mothers, by Cheryl Perry. This tragedy hit too close to home and Cheryl wrote this from her heart on behalf of all of Smarty Charlotte. We could not be more proud of this beautiful note.
Participation Awards, by Susan Bowman. Susan writes about our generation of kids who get awards just for signing up – what do you think this is doing to our children as they grow older? Read on.
I blame Lululemon, by Krista Wilson. Lululemon is an addiction. Period. Worth every penny.
Not your Camp Counselor, by Wendy Bentien. Timely as we were all pulling our hair out with our kids home over the summer. Wendy is hilarious.
Mommy, am I too fat for Abercrombie & Fitch?, by Jen Plym. This kills me to reread. I’m still mad at Abercrombie for sending the message that skinny is the only way to be beautiful. Plyms have staged a full-on boycott of this tween clothier.
Zip it, lock it, put it in your pocket, by Lisa Kuszmar. Who ever knew people would be so passionate about stick figures on their cars?
What a boob!, by Jen Voorhees. Breastfeeding in the workplace, by Jen. Great read.
How do we teach our kids to respect the disabled?, by Cheryl Perry. This tugs at your soul as Cheryl writes about her nephew with Down Syndrome.
Smarty Girls in Lilly scarves this week in honor of Smarty Kaylee, by Jen Plym. We were so honored to partner with our pink & green idols at Lilly Pulitzer SouthPark in honor of our Smarty Kaylee as she kicked Hodgkin’s Lymphoma’s A$$. We are happy to report that she is healthy and getting back to her normal routine and her new short hair-do looks FABULOUS!
My Inner Mean Girl, by Wendy Bentien. This is something we all struggle with and a great read.
Evolution of Charlotte Smarty Pants, by Jen Plym. This makes 11 posts. But I love it because it allowed me to retrace CSP’s steps from the beginning.
And we can’t ever forget Smarty Courtenay’s “Smarty Scoop on Weekend Activities” that she delivers every single Wednesday. I live by her recos, I actually have no idea what I’m doing until Wednesday!
