I fell instantly in love with the Loog Guitar the first minute I laid eyes on it. This spring the Smarty team went to the NYC Toy Fair and this was hands down, my favorite pick of the show. All of my kids have shown interest in learning how to play the guitar – maybe this is a little inspired by their obsession with Taylor Swift and my best mom moment ever that we should just relive for a sec:-) Team Plym is chomping at the bit to learn how to play the guitar and the Loog is the perfect segway, because it’s specifically designed for children, with their needs, comfort and safety in mind.
The Loog Guitar is not just any guitar. The Loog Guitar, with its 3 strings, makes it easier for kids to tune, play and listen to the notes they are playing. It is a more stimulating experience that allows children to play music right from the start. And because The Loog Guitar comes with nylon strings, not only it is easy for kids to play, it is also easy on their hands.
When you build your own guitar you develop a deep connection with it; it is an experience that helps you understand and love the instrument. That is why The Loog Guitar comes unassembled for kids and parents to build together. No special tools or expertise are required: just take it out of the box and in 15 minutes you will have built a fully functional, beautiful looking and sounding guitar.
The other cool factor is that the Loog Guitar is fully customizable. Choose among several models, shapes and accessories to give it color and new life. All parts are easily swappable and interchangeable. Peep this Smarty pink guitar that has our name written all over it!

I like, I shared and I have no earthly idea where to take guitar lessons, but I do have music lover littleboys that would want to learn.
This is great! I just saw that Kindermusik in Ballantyne at the YMCA arts preschool location is offering guitar lessons as well as Streetwise!
I have music loving boys, but have not specifically looked into lessons. I have seen them advertised at music 4 life, however, I have no idea how they are!
oh my goodness love! would love to encourage 3 guys in my home to become 3 rock stars. no idea about lessons….would love a smarty post from an expert on this kind thing (e.g. best age to start piano, guitar, drums, trumpet, etc.. have heard its different ages based on skills needed and brain development but not sure of exact answers).
I have shared and liked on facebook. We have a piano teacher that come to our house for lessons so I would have to ask her where to go for guitar, but I am sure one of my boys would love to trade piano for guitar!
My son would love this!!!! Shared and liked too!!
I would suggest Streetwise Music: http://www.streetwise-rocks.com
My boys would LOVE this!! I really have no idea where to take lessons. Streetwise Music sounds good:)
no recs on lessons but that guitar looks great 🙂
not on Fb I honestly have no idea where to take lessons but if I win I will def. find out!! My nephews would LOVE this!!
This grandmother is not on FB. I don’t know where the best place is to learn guitar. If I win, my grandchildren have an Uncle who could teach them:)
Not sure
I have friends who swear by this company for kid’s guitar lessons http://www.charlotteguitarkids.com/
Sam Ash would be my pick
I don’t know any guitar teachers in Charlotte, unfortunately. But my first stop is always to a local guitar shop. Chances are good that they provide lessons and if they don’t, they certainly know a lot of working musicians and music instructors. When is the deadline for this contest? Cheers!
