Smarties, we’re super excited to introduce our newest partner, The Extreme Ice Center (XIC), Charlotte’s largest family ice skating facility. They provide daily public skating for all ages. Celeb bragging rights: XIC is home to the Charlotte Junior Checkers and Charlotte Metro Hockey Association – the fastest growing hockey association in the Charlotte area. They are also home to the Carolinas’ Figure Skating club and feature the premiere skating instruction throughout the Southeast. Basically, if you want to do any kind of ice sport, this will be the center of your universe!
For beginners, XIC offers Learn to Skate and Learn to Play programs in skating and hockey. At 87,000 square feet, the XIC also features a fitness center, Stay n’ Play childcare, tavern, & conference rooms. Seriously, you can hang there all day long with your entire fam!
The CSP XIC Giveaway
One lucky Smarty will win your choice of either a Snow Buddy 1 7-week class or a Basic Skills 7-week class for one child, valued at $140 (registration fee included). What’s the difference? These are the introductory Learn to Skate programs for all children. Snow Buddy 1 is for ages 3-5, Basic Skills is for ages 6+. Our lucky CSP winner is eligible to enroll in any class (Tues, Thurs, or Saturday) at any time slot. Smarty tip: you should register ASAP to ensure availability for desired class date/time. You’ll also receive $10 off enrollment of an additional child in a Basic Skills 1 or Snow Buddy 1 program.

XIC Back 2 Cool FREE Lesson on August 25th!
XIC is offering free intro lessons at their Back 2 Cool event on the 25th starting at 11 am. Interested parents can register their kids via the XIC website. Lessons are 20 minutes, led by their expert staff, with FREE public session until 1 pm. FYI, Parents do not have to register for the free public session – just the lesson.
