Nearly 150 Charlotteans hit the lanes for a good cause at “Bowling 4 Booty,” a fundraiser hosted by Carolinas HealthCare System’s Levine Cancer Institute to benefit cancer research and survivorship support programs in the Charlotte community. Supporters raised nearly $3,000 at the event, which featured food, music, fun – and of course, bowling.
Proceeds went to benefit the Institute’s fundraising efforts for Charlotte’s 11th annual 24 Hours of Booty event, LIVESTRONG’s™ official 24-hour cycling fundraiser to raise awareness and funds for cancer care. Levine Cancer Institute is the presenting sponsor of the 11th annual Charlotte event, which will host 1,200 riders who will raise more than $1.2 million for the cause on July 27 and 28. Since its start in 2002, 24 Hours of Booty has raised more than $7 million to fight cancer.
Bowling 4 Booty helped to ramp up fundraising efforts and get supporters excited for the main event. And don’t worry – If you missed the bowling, you can still get involved! Click here to learn more about 24 Hours of Booty and ways you can be a part of the event.
