Smarties, I’m excited to introduce you to Smarty Mompreneur, Sarah Masci, founder of a drop of golden sun design studio. I met Sarah earlier this year and hired her on the spot to help us out with some of our facebook initiatives. She is super talented and extremely knowledgeable on the cutting edge aspects of social media. Not to mention she’s an awesome mom of three soon-to-be-four, sweet as pie and always working on the next latest and greatest. This Smarty Mama never sits still for a second!

Tell us about Drop of Golden Sun?

a drop of golden sun is an online etsy store, which offers truly original illustratrations & completely personalized, graphic designs; via iDentity Cases for iPhones, personalized stationery & party invitations, thank you notes, recipe cards, wall décor, lullaboards & plenty more! I also specialize in creative logo design for small businesses, print marketing (post cards, business cards, brochures, catalogs, packaging, etc) & informational web design.

Favorite winter activity with kids?

Though I’m personally not a huge “winter” activity person myself (hence, the reason we moved south) my kids LOVE sledding & snowmobiling in my hometown, where average winter snowfall is around 10-12 feet (yes “feet”, not inches!)

Favorite birthday party?

It’s a tie between my oldest son’s 4th and 6th parties… A Polar Express (non-sleepover) pajama party with his preschool friends or his Kindergarten “Camouflage” party, complete with a backyard obstacle course, scavenger hunt and “pin the missile on the fighter jet” game.

Birthday party go-to gift?

For toddlers, I love to give the personalized book, “The First Adventures of Incredible You”! Not only is every page of the book custom written for the child, but the words have such a great rhythm and flow to them (comparable to Dr. Seuss). Not generic at all, it is a book to be read and treasured for years.

Who is your celebrity crush?

Ryan Gossling in The Notebook

Best book you’ve read lately?

Honestly, I can’t remember the last time I finished a book! To “read more books ” is on my list of 2012 resolutions though, so I downloaded The Mill River Recluse on my iPad last night…. Hopefully I will finish it sometime this year!

Favorite movie of all time?

A 3-way tie between The Notebook, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Dirty Dancing. Apparently I’m a sucker for romance flicks.

Minivan or SUV?

Minivan

Favorite phone app?

Zillow, because I have an obsession with looking at houses & the housing market, and Etsy to keep track of my shop sales and stats!

Double Agent, because I can SO relate!
