The 2011 Charlotte International Auto Show is a once-a-year, one-of-a-kind, family-friendly event featuring over 400 vehicles – all under one roof. A special feature will be a HISTORY OF THE AUTOMOBILE EXHIBIT presenting vintage automobiles from the past. Sunday, November 20th is “Family Day” with special events planned for the kids.
Families are welcome every day at the Auto Show, but Sunday is SPECIAL. Area mascots – including Carolina Panthers’ Sir Purr, Charlotte Bobcats’ Rufus, Charlotte Checkers’ Chubby and Charlotte Knights’ Homer will all be at the Show on Sunday. Again this year Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will visit with children. Entertainment will include live music, face painting and clowns. Children 12 and under will receive a ticket for an hourly drawing for a family four pack of movie entertainment – tickets and concessions – valued at over $50.00. All of this for the price of admission; children 12 and under are admitted free with an adult.
Admission is $10 for Adults. Kids under 12 are FREE. Discount coupons are available on the website, www.charlotteautoshow.com. The show runs November 17 – 20, 2011 at the Charlotte Convention Center. Hours are Thursday – Friday 12pm to 9pm, Saturday 10am to 10pm, Sunday 10am to 6pm. A portion of the ticket price goes to Levine Children’s Hospital to benefit the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit.
