Summer has officially started and what better way to kick it off than to enjoy FREE movies?! Regal Theatres has hosted a Free Family Film Festival in theatres across the country since 1991 and it kicks off next Tuesday, June 15th. The festival lasts 9 weeks to get kids and parents through the summer, especially on a rainy day or when you’re just not up for a pool outing. Selected G & PG movies start at 10AM each Tuesday and Wednesday (and some Thursdays) during the festival. First-come, first-served and seating is limited to theater capacity, so make sure you get there early.

Oh HAPPY summer day! We've been looking forward to these starting again. I took my twins, who were 2 last summer, and this was their first in-theatre movie. While they didn't make it thru the whole thing, they loved the experience and I didn't hate walking out early since it was FREE! Love options like this that save me green and allow us to escape the summer heat! Thanks, Regal, 3 gold stars in my book!
Momscharlotte.com also has the listings for Carolina Pavilion – $1 movies on Tuesdays at 10am.
This sounds great! It is so nice to have somewhere to go to get out of the heat!
My children and I love FREE summer movies. We are so lucky that we live nearby the event centers in Denver, Colorado. There, they play free summer movie series. It certainly is nice to take my children out and enjoy a nice movie, without even spending a lot of cash. We'll just have to bring our blankets, picnic food and enjoy the scenic outdoors while watching the movie. The event center in Denver, Colorado will run free movies from June 28th to August 30th. According to the website that I've visited, the movies that they'll be showing are Twilight, Invictus, Back to the Future, etc… I'll definitely not miss this chance to watch free movies with my family.
