You won’t want to miss a super Smarty shopping event this weekend! The Gift Closet is a 3-day shopping extravaganza hosted by a creative group of SAHMs who consider themselves moonlighting artists. Typically, products are marked up once they hit the retail boutiques. The Gift Closet is your chance to skip the middleman and buy treasures directly from the creative minds who stayed up all night making them.
Thanks to a very generous commercial real estate developer and some collective brain power, there will be 13 vendors with their wares for purchase tonight through Saturday in Parktowne Village Shopping Center right across from Park Road Shopping Center (where Calico Corners, kixx kids shoes, Polka Dot bake shop, Charlotte Yoga, etc are located). Let’s give a shout out to these savvy moms who are really putting themselves out there:
Julie Tassy – Good & Perfect Gifts (fun & personalized art & gifts)
Dorothy Ingram – Volleygirl (hip tennis skirts for that tennis diva looking to sport fashion and strength on the court)
Eddie Carter – Poolotz (crazy groovy pool cover-ups, definitely a must-have for the swim team fams and just may make our Easter baskets this year)
Aundrea DeJonge – Zerbert Baby (Handmade baby items that are presh – love the unique bibs)
Sydney Gaylord, Mary Cannady, Laurie Diman – Soul (vintage jewelry and shoe clips that would make Jackie O drool!)
Melinda Claudepierre – SavvyCents (Wallets designed after a cash envelope system – very intriguing and super organized!)
Di Almond – Just Happy (Handcrafted jewelry – love me some bling!)
Christy McCormick – Dulce Divna (Cake bites and truffles – ya know, because we all need some sweets while we shop)
Andrea Sprott – Sprott Design (Unique paper goods – can’t go wrong with cute printed stuff)
Stephanie McCleary – Designs by Stephanie Anne (photo jewelry – way cool)
Janine Medlin – Janine Medlin Art (oil on canvas – Smarty talented)
Lauren Reddick – Lollie Dollies (Personalized Rag Dolls – think Raggedy Ann meets preppy Smarty Pants with pink & green fabric and monos to perfectly complement baby’s nursery – you can even customize with your own nursery fabric.)
You’ll also have a chance to stock your own gift closet since each vendor is donating one item for charity. All you have to do is make a small $5 donation to International Teams and you could win big – an over $300 value!
