I have been counting down the days until I could introduce you to our latest Smarty Sponsor that has truly changed our lives, Simply Fresh to You – The Ultimate Home Dining Experience!. Owners, Marc & Patti Liersaph, contacted us a few months back and sent us some samples. I was highly impressed and my family has been hooked every single week since then. With a combined 40+ years of experience in the restaurant/food distribution industry, Marc & Patti have really found a niche and at an affordable cost.
Simply Fresh to You boasts an Exclusive Delivery System – there is no need to be home and it is guaranteed to be delivered safe and fresh (see www.simplyfreshtoyou.com for details). Most meals require 10 minutes or less to prepare. All meals come in individual containers ready to cook with specific instructions. Some of my favorite entrees include salmon w/honey shallot mustard vinaigrette and garlic mustard glazed beef tenderloin skewer. They also have really good kids entrees and the best homemade salad dressing ever – I am so incredibly picky about salad dressing! We quickly figured out that my children will eat the adult meals, which is important to me because I like for all of us to eat the same dinner. Three adult-sized entrees easily feeds our family of 6 (w/four young kids).
This service is a win/win for all in my family. I actually enjoy cooking and am pretty good at it, if I do say so myself:-) But with four children and multiple activities, getting home in time to plan & cook a meal by 6p has become a difficult task. Since ordering from Simply Fresh, I never go through a drive-through or do take-out for dinner. In fact, I don’t even eat lunch out very often because I enjoy our left-overs or order salads in my delivery. Chick-fil-A is now a welcomed treat instead of a weekly norm! I only go to Harris Teeter for lunch items for kids, that is whatever I can’t get at Costco and the farmer’s markets. I have been keeping track of my food bills and I can honestly say that we are now saving $125/month. I think this is due to the fact that I don’t go to the grocery store every 3-4 days. Now I go once a week and it’s a short list because I do little meal planning. The best part is, these meals taste better than what I can cook and all the ingredients are fresh, not frozen. Plus, you can make them as healthy as you want – they offer organic meats, whole wheat pasta, you can choose not to eat the sauces, etc. This is the T-I-C-K-E-T!! Wait, did I mention that they cater too? I could go on an on!
Simply Fresh to You is offering two lucky Smarty readers a $100 gift certificate to try their service. We also love Simply Fresh. So glad to see you on CSP! When a friend recently told me about it, I thought for sure it would be too expensive. Almost too good to be true. But not the case at all. We too are saving money b/c we don’t have to grocery shop. The food is incredible. I can’t wait for my Monday delivery each week!
I guess I don’t get it. How does this actually save you money. Almost all the entrees are $11(some $15,$16) a person so if you take an average family of 4 then that is spending $300 a week-and that’s just for dinners! Who in the world could afford that. My family could eat out every night for cheaper than that.
I know it sounds like such a luxury, but since we order 3 meals (not six), we end up saving. I promise if you add up all of your grocery visits, even the ones you “just go in for milk and bread” but come out $75 later, you’ll come out ahead. Now I’ve said in the past, I am not a good coupon girl so I’m sure you can find food for a lot cheaper than I do. But when I calculate my time, my extra grocery/Target visits, my drive-through visits b/c I just don’t have enough time, my out-to-eat visits and take out visits, I’m WAY ahead. Basically, we don’t “eat out” anymore. We dine in with restaurant quality entrees and don’t have to leave our house. It has been incredible!
I agree with Jen P. I started using them when my 3rd was about 4 months old and I realized dinners were not happening. The food is awesome and so fresh. It is like paying for a meal out, without a drink and tip and getting a good quality homecooked meal at the same time. Going out style, but in the comfort of your home. It has saved us on grocery bills. The amount of food they give you is per person, which is great for portion control for those of us who need that) but we also always have leftovers.. especially the breads and pastas. To anonymous #2, you should try it for a week before you bash it on a website. If you do not like it after trying it, then you have a right to voice your opinion, but not before.
Jen P. got me hooked on Simply Fresh, and it has changed my life too. The food is really high quality, very tasty and always fresh. I agree with Jen about the salad dressings – I have never found a grocery store salad dressing that I like, but I love Simply Fresh’s balsamic vinaigrette and ranch. Some of my favorites are the chicken enchiladas, the salmon that Jen mentioned (that’s dinner tonight!), the lasagnas (meat or veggie – I get them with whole wheat pasta), the ziti and the tilapia dishes. I normally have one fish dish a week, which is great because I tend not to cook fish much myself. I love that most meals come with two sides or a salad, and you can customize your sides from a long list of options. Even my picky husband loves it. Cost-wise, I tend to order the dishes that are $12 or less. If you try a meal and see the fresh ingredients that are involved and the amount of time that has been put into the meal that you receive, you will see the value. I work part-time, so I love not having to deal with cooking a meal on the days I work. I’m a devotee!
I started using Simply Fresh just after my 4th baby was born. She is now 5 months old and we get 2-3 meals on average weekly. Many will think upon first review that Simply Fresh is expensive; it is not. Compared to dining out, it is incredibly less expensive. Even compared to grocery shopping, when you factor in impulse aisle shopping, Simply Fresh still results in the most affordable solution to getting fresh complete meals on our table. When you analyze your weekly grocery products; likely you have more ‘incidental’ items than what your family really needs. Grocery stores are designed to entice you to fill up your carts with unnecessary items. Using Simply Fresh, we are able to get complete meals, most include salads, sides and several even include bread. Adding about $5 more gets incredible desserts for 4 people. On average we are feeding 4 people three complete meals for under $75 a week. I am a full-time working mom. I can stop working at 5:30 and have a wonderful meal on my families table by 6pm. The customer service provided by Simply Fresh is phenomenal. Marc & Patti Liersaph are amazing. They are ON TOP of everything; from special requests, service, and delivery. They provide the highest degree of service. I couldn’t be happier with this program and their service. I encourage everyone to try Simply Fresh – you will enjoy wonderful meals that are fun and easy to prepare… My husband actually thinks I can cook now.
We are HUGE fans of Simply Fresh, and I totally agree that it saves us money. To make dinner for my husband and I, we’d end up buying more ingredients than necessary for a meal for two. Simply Fresh’s portions are perfect because there are no wasted ingredients! Additionally, we have a three-month old baby, and I have quickly learned that “running into” the store or a place to grab takeout is not so easy anymore. By having our meals delivered, I can cook something luscious without ever leaving the house (or changing out of my pajamas for that matter). Also, the meals are a much healthier option than take-out because you actually know everything that goes into the dish (the ingredients are listed for each thing – good way to check for allergies, too). I totally agree that the salad dressings are unbelievable, and the lemon vinaigrette and eggless caesar are my faves. Oh and the steak dishes, while maybe a little more than some would spend for a weekday dinner, are EXCELLENT for date night or special occassions! So glad that CSP has exposed Simply Fresh!
LOVE SFTY! It has been a delicious lifesaver on nights when we have to rush afterschool with homework and sports. We can get home and get a great dinner on the table in just a few minutes. Everything is really fresh and easy to prep. I really believe it has cut down on grocery costs. Especially if I would make all these meals myself. Each recipe uses completely different ingredients, so to buy the spices and herbs for each dish would bring that grocery bill sky high. I can’t wait for the new menu to come out each week!
I love Simply Fresh to You. I found them by accident doing a Google search many months ago and it has changed our lives. I work full time and have a toddler and a baby. My husband and I were doing take out almost every night because I could not get a meal together for us. I would buy food at the grocery store and then have to throw it out because it didn’t get used. Now we have a “home cooked” meal at least 3 nights a week (my toddler loves it too) and I have saved a ton of money on groceries. The food is delicious and extremely convenient.
I was skeptical (almost angry) when my wife said she was going to try Simply Fresh To You. I was determined to find as many reasons as possible to make sure this did not become a regular routine. Being highly analytical I was laughing inside at how easy this was going to be so I agreed to do a week. I analyzed it from every angle and to my surprsie I quickly realized I was going to loose this battle. Bottom line, it may not be for everyone but I can promise you the following; 1. It will save an enormous amount of time and time is money. Consider the total amount of time involved in going to the grocery store (meal planning, taking inventory of your frig/freezer, creating a shopping list, drive time, shopping time, unloading). Then consider the time required to prep the meal, the extra food/ingredients purchased for the meal and the extra dishes associated with the food prep. 2. you will not get the same quality food/ingredients and freshness from a grocery store (if you have any knowledge of the grocery indusrty you can’t dispute this fact). 3. It will help improve you mental health. Just the thought of going to the grocery store makes my blood pressure rise and my mood take a turn for the wores but seeing the Simply Fresh To You van pull up to my house and all 4 kids run out the door screaming to greet Marc is pure bliss. 4. Kids love it – half the battle of meal time at our house is just getting all of the kids to eat. Then inevitabally, someone wants something other than what is prepard. Over the course of a week this results in large amounts of wasted food. I truly believe that the “experience” of Simply Fresh To You is a large part of why our kids like the food so much. They love putting the cooler by the front door, waiting for the van to arrive, unpacking the cooler and 90% of the meals we buy are so easy to cook that our kids can actually help cook them. I could go on and on about the many reasons why this service is a perfect fit for our modest single income family of six but instead I simply challenge any skeptic to try it for a week and see if it is good fit for you and your family.
The 2nd wasn’t bashing the food or website. All they said was that it was expensive, which it is. They were also confused by people saying they were saving money. But I have to agree, for $12 an entree we can go to 131 main every night 🙂 I’m sure it’s great for those who can afford such a luxury 🙂
We get 3-4 meals a week and love it. I think it saves us money and we eat healthier because I don’t have to drag children into the grocery store and buy junk we really don’t need. Prior to kids, I loved cooking and I know my husband has missed that. I just never seem to get it all together to cook like I did before children. Now we are all happy. I feel like he is getting good meals and it takes a lot of guilt and pressure of myself. When my kids go to school, then I will go back to cooking myself, untill then, we will stick with Simply Fresh.
I started using Simply Fresh To You almost a year ago when I noticed the truck driving through my neighborhood and googled the name to see what it was all about. Now, we order 3-4 meals on average weekly. The options available and the quality of the meals we have received from Simply Fresh To You are better (and healthier) than dining out in some of the local restaurants.I must agree with the others, that using Simply Fresh To You is a HUGE savings of both time and money;if you don’t visit the grocery store, you cannot fall into the trap of spontaneous, unnecessary purchases. Also, we are not buying an abundance of ingredients and using only a small portion to prepare a meal, resulting in excess food that gets thrown away. Simply Fresh To You has eleviated the headache and time involved in meal planning, grocery shopping, prepping, cooking and cleaning up. The portions provided by Simply Fresh To You are ideal vs. the large portions served at many restaurants that cause some to overeat. Not to mention we don’t have a refrigerator full of leftovers that get added to our garbage can on a weekly basis.Every menu item is made from fresh, top quality ingredients are are listed on the website so you can easily see what goes into each dish (I love that there are healthy, whole wheat options available).Marc & Patti Liersaph are awesome, their customer service is second to none. They are on top of everything; from special requests, service and delivery. My family could not be happier with this program and the service provided. Honestly, I look forward getting an email each week from Simply Fresh To You letting me know that the menu for the upcoming week is available. I can’t wait to see what delicious dinners will be coming my way.I strongly encourage everyone to try Simply Fresh To You– you will enjoy wonderful, fresh, healthy meals that are quick and easy to prepare.
When are they coming to Winston-Salem? 🙂
In January, my husband had to take a significant pay cut in order to keep his job. This made it necessary for me to go back into the work place. Going back to work was not the difficult part for me, it was the inability to run quick errands, multi-task laundry, dishes and meals. Then the agony of having to go to the grocery store at 8:30 at night after the kids were in bed or on the weekend after or between activities. My husband is a huge help around the house so we quickly figured out how to best manage everything except dinner. We found ourselves eating frozen foods and buying in bulk. Dinner time has become stressful and not enjoyable for us and the kids. We tried two of the places where you go and prep/buy your food and found it not to be much of a time saver and the food was good but not great. Last night I showed my husband the Simply Fresh To You website. We are not 100% sure of how it works but the concept sounds exactly like what we need at this point in time and we are excited to give it a try. I will let you know how it turns out. Thanks for the information.
I love Simply Fresh to You! I just echo what everyone else has said – it saves time, (for me at least) it seems to be saving money, the food is delicious and my family enjoys healthy meals *together* … which was tough to make happen before. Marc and Patti could not be nicer! My favorite entrees are the salmon (every kind I’ve had has been delicious), turkey meatloaf, quiche and lasagna. Plus, I adore the butternut squash pear soup, maple sweet potatoes, and gruyere/parmesan twice baked potatoes. YUM! Oh, and I think the portion sizes are more than generous … I order two entrees for my husband and me and, especially with things like meatloaf and lasagna, we very often have plenty of leftovers for lunch or dinner the next day …
I’m amazed at how much time all these people have to write 3-6 paragraphs on this. Wow. I wish I had that much time on my hands.
We love Simply Fresh. We order for family beach vacactions. The food comes in a prepacked cooler. All you have to do is throw it in the trunk! It is packed and ready to go. They could not make food planning any easier. Quite yummy too!Laurie D
SFTY is really great and the quality is very high. To the comment about 131, dont waste your time, that place sucks. All the menu items can be found on food network and very few are original. Marc and Patti's high quality product is incredibly more enjoyable than anything you could get at 131!
