First of all, I would like to say that I had a great time with my kids yesterday. They were very curious about their day off from school – Veteran’s Day. I was really glad that I had the opportunity to explain what the day is and see their faces when I told them that their Poppy is a veteran, and also to talk about great-uncles who served, and mommy’s cousins who are currently serving our country. What a wonderful day to celebrate all the men and women who protected/protect our nation and freedoms. Sometimes when looking at the school schedule, you think “What a random holiday or day off” and then you are reminded by a child’s innocent question, what a very important day it is. Thank you to all of our veterans and those currently serving and to the families who are sacrificing so much right now with loved ones abroad. Now to the weekend…
Remember to move it, move it to Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa at the IMAX Theatre in Discovery Place. It has been digitally re-mastered into the unparalleled image and sound quality of The IMAX® Experience through proprietary IMAX DMR® technology. All of the loveable characters are back – Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo, King Julien, Maurice and the penguins. What a great way to spend the day, an awesome movie and Discovery Place. Don’t forget a great way to get there – Light Rail!! Click here for more info. and to purchase tickets.
