This summer, my boys wore the cutest little elephant shoes I have ever seen, or smelled! My super savvy sister, who is a true shoe diva, scoped these out at a fun Florida boutique. When they arrived in their precious polka dot bag, I could smell the fine leather before I opened the box. They were the softest and sweetest little boy shoes on the planet! Who said boys aren’t fun to shop for? So Owen & Walker have donned their elephant shoes all summer and they ask for them by name.
Livie and Luca beautifully combines whimsical styles that kids will enjoy (and even ask for their elephant shoes by name) with affordable prices – $37.50 is not bad for a boutique line. Stride Rite is way more expensive than that. When you shop Livie and Luca, you’ll find elephants, owls and even veggies. These are just too presh! Each shoe is crafted by hand and the artisans leave their mark under the straps – so each shoe is as unique as the child who wears them.
I have been a fan of Livie and Luca since I opened the box and I check their website often. Well ladies, today is our lucky day. Livie and Luca is having a 2-for-1 back-to-school sale for the next week or so. You have to type in “two4one” when you check out. Some of the styles scream summer, however there are quite a few that are year-round. For girls, look at the Nela’s Magenta Tassle (featured above) also in orange; navy & orange Fun Dots; and Livie’s Red Wings. For boys, look at all of Emilio’s flavors, the Hoots and even the Veggie Boots. These are all perfect for Fall. And they are two for the price of one – how did they know I needed that in my life with twins?! So with shipping, you get each pair for around $25. You can’t beat that. Not to mention, you can’t find these anywhere in Charlotte.
Who knows? Maybe we can bring these funky kicks to our shops soon. Make sure you mention Charlotte Smarty Pants in the comments section if you order so they know where you came from. Every little bit helps us get our name out there:-)

You didn’t say if these shoes are geared just to new walkers (ie 12 month old or are they for toddlers too).
So cute, but quantities are extemely low. None of the girl styles have the size I need for my daughter. I’ll definitely be checking this site often, though. These look like terrific shoes!
Love your recommendations, Jen! I just checked out their website and may order some for my girls. For the previous poster, here's the size info, which is easily found on their website: "Livie & Luca baby and toddler shoes run from American size 3.5 to size 10. Our baby and toddler shoes generally fit pre-walkers to preschool aged children."
You are right – some quantities are low, thus the two-for sale. However, I was able to get two pairs for my twins, which is not very common so I thought it was worth mentioning. Some of the styles have high quantities. For boys, the Emilio's Green & Taupe laufer is heavy on sizes. For girls, check out the Nela's orange tassels (orange is so in right now!). They will have a big fall inventory in the next few weeks at the regular $37.50.
Oh I wasn’t complaining…just bummed that they were out of the styles I liked! ;o) Thanks for giving us the heads up!
Thanks Jen! Just ordered 4 pair for my 18 month old twins so they will have some great new shoes for preschool this fall.
Thanks so much! Just ordered my two pairs- love, love, love them! Thanks for the great tip!
Just ordered two pair, this was a GREAT tip, Jen! Thanks for sharing, we can’t wait to sport our fashionable kicks this Fall!
I ordered two pairs for my kids – LOVE these shoes! Thank you, thank you!
I just received the boys’ shoes and they are even cuter than I thought! And the leather smells so incredibly yummy! These will be perfect for Fall. I hope you like yours:-)
I got mine on Saturday and they are adorable–love them. Only disappointment was I did not have an “artisan” signature mark under the strap and the shoes said “made in china.” This surprised me but no matter as these shoes are way cute!
I noticed that too! Oh well, they are super cute and a great price even at full price. Mine did have a # on the strap? Maybe that’s the “artists” new signature?!
