Charlotte is getting greener in so many ways. We all have done a pretty good job in conserving water and Mother Nature has helped a little too by bringing us our much-needed April showers. So, we can finally water our lawns. No more patchy brown grass for this hood!
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utilities announced Wednesday that changes to water use restrictions will take effect tomorrow. Customers with odd-numbered addresses may water their lawns on Saturdays, and those with even-numbered addresses may water on Sundays. All other restrictions remain in effect – residential car-washing, refilling of empty swimming pools and operating ornamental fountains are still prohibited.
This doesn’t give us the go-ahead to run through the sprinklers or anything crazy like that. It just gives us a start at rebuilding our lawns.
