New Tunes to Boost Your Workout or Just Brighten Your Day!

One of my girlfriends came up with a fabulous idea to review everyone’s playlists for our New Year’s workout regimen. She was kind enough to share the list that she collected. There’s nothing like new tunes to give you an extra skip in your step when you’re running. I don’t know about you all, but it seems like I have brain freeze every time I sit down to upload to my iTunes – sometimes I can’t even remember one song that I like! So I thought if we all shared our tunes, maybe we can come up with some really cool playlists for reference. Not to mention, this was just a pretty fun exercise:-) Here goes:

OK, maybe these aren’t all “running” songs but they are all somebody’s faves! Personally, I’m an alternative girl – love the country but just feel too relaxed to exercise to this stuff! So after going through this, I recently added only five new songs to my “Super Running Playlist” and I’m pretty sure I improved my time by 30 seconds per mile! One random thing that I have been doing lately is selecting music from the days when I looked my best, for motivational purposes. For me, that would be college so I’m re-livin’ the glory days every time I run, which makes it a little more fun!
