SouthPark Eats Alternative, the largest gathering of Food Trucks in SouthPark…
SouthPark has been waiting for good lunch options for a LONG time. We are in the heart of Chain Central – it’s either upscale chains or junk food, no options that you actually crave. I’m often jealous of the dining options in Dilworth, NoDa and Plaza Midwood. But SouthPark (my hood) lunch options are forgettable at best. That all changed last week thanks to SouthPark Eats Alternative, SouthPark’s ONLY gathering of food trucks.
Their mission is simple – to deliver gourmet lunch options on-the-go every Wednesday from 11a-2p. I’m a HUGE fan of the Food Truck movement. Our fam hits Food Truck Fridays in SouthEnd as often as possible but now there is an easier opportunity for us and everyone is in the area. Thank you, SouthPark Eats Alternative for blazing the trails.
Business peeps you definitely need to check it out. I guarantee you’ll be hooked after your first time. And for Smarty Moms with kids in tow, this is not the outing where you’re going to whip out a blanket and drag kids to picnic under the sun. This is a full-on roadie. If you hit it early (11am right when they get there) or late, close to 2p, you’ll be able to get in and out in a jiff. Parking is simple and free. So I say get it to-go for sure.
This week’s line-up will not disappoint:
You can check the weekly line-up here. They typically have 6 food trucks on any given week.
