Seems like every time I turn around, we have an injury and I am completely ill-prepared. My big eye-opener was when we were at the ball field recently and my 6-year-old daughter got stung by a bee. I tend to be an under-reactor when it comes to medical issues, so I was perfectly content just putting ice on it. Maybe that was because I can’t even keep band-aids in my car because my kids use them as stickers! Lucky for me one of my Smarty friends sprinted to her car and came back with Benadryl cream (which I’m embarrassed to admit that I didn’t even know existed!) and some baking soda to neutralize the sting. Seriously, who keeps a spare box of baking soda in her car on any given day?!
So I decided to change my ways and invest in a First Aid Kit for my car. I found this one and knew it was the perfect Smarty solution – the Medibag, Medibuddy and Diaper Bag Buddy First Aid Kits for Kids. These fabulous portable first aid kits include everything you need to soothe minor injuries on the go. They even have crayon-shaped bandages and smiley stickers to wipe those tears away. The Medibuddy is smaller than the Medibag and is intended for your car while the Diaper Bag Buddy is perfect for every new mom to stash in her bag. I didn’t mess around and bought the whole kit and caboodle in the Medibag.
Now I just need to get a box of Arm & Hammer and I’ll be all set. Do you have any first aid tips to share? Do tell!
