Jen P and I are so excited an impressed by our awesome and savvy readers. It’s so great to see all the moms sharing their experiences (like the Pediatrician post, 22 comments!). We’re starting a new weekly topic called “Smarty Weekend”. How many times do you end up on a Friday saying “what fun things can I do with my kids this weekend?” We know about some great events that go on around Charlotte but only our readers know what’s going on in all the “nooks & crannies” of Charlotte. So each Thursday we’ll post any weekend activities we know about and then we’ll let you all share any exciting events that you know about.
One of our readers named Sarah reminded us about a performance this weekend at the Children’s Theatre located inside Imaginon. The Emperor’s New Clothes written and performed by the Grey Seal Puppets. It’s an adaptation of Hans Christian Anderson’s The Emperor’s New Clothes. This Emperor happens to be a pig; the crafty tailors are foxes; the prime minister a near-sighted camel; and the councilor a befuddled walrus. Even the audience takes part, as animals of course. Don’t miss this fanciful take on a beloved fable, where we learn the dangers of vanity and the rewards of being brave and honest.
The show times are January 12- at 1:00 and 3:00 and January 13 at 2:00. Front Orchestra is $14 and General Admission is $12. It is recommended for ages 5 and up.
