St. Patrick Catholic School

1125 Buchanan Street
Charlotte, NC 28203

As the first Catholic School in Charlotte (built in 1930 as the O’Donoghue School), St. Patrick Catholic School (part of the Mecklenburg Area Catholic Schools (MACS) system) has a strong history of tradition, student achievement and community involvement.
Having “Faith In Learning” is the primary objective. Located in the heart of Dilworth, St. Patrick strives to inspire and educate students to be capable, confident, and compassionate leaders. They achieve this through the love of God, service to others, and a stimulating and competitive academic curriculum.
The involvement of parents in school activities and the strong commitment of faculty, even beyond the classroom, set St. Patrick apart from other schools. We consider our school our family, and our community our responsibility.
St. Patrick also has a special program within the school, the Matthew-Morgan Down Syndrome Program. The mission of this program is to provide a quality, functional, faith-based education in a classroom setting where each child can progress toward his/her individual potential. Basic academics and life skills are taught to help students become self-reliant and independent.
