The Twenty-First Annual Fletcher Forum: The Golden Age of Dyslexia
Featuring Dean Starbuck Bragonier
Dean Starbuck Bragonier is the Founder and Executive Dyslexic of NoticeAbility, Inc, a non-profit organization that designs and delivers propriety curricula to students with dyslexia. NoticeAbility offers authentic inquiry in vocational subjects that cater to the neurological strengths of the dyslexic mind: entrepreneurship, engineering, architecture and narrative storytelling. Dean will discuss the neuroscience of the dyslexic brain and how this shapes experience and identity formation in a developing child. A firm believer in positive reinforcement and what he calls “dyslexic potential,” Dean will share how we can introduce our students to their unique cognitive advantages, allowing them to reveal their inherent capabilities and empowering them to become self-actualized, confident human beings.
This workshop is free of charge and open to the public. Details and register here.
