Hello Charlotte Smarty Pants Moms!
We are Ami, Hina & Jas and just like you, we are moms! We have a total of eight kids ranging from elementary school to college! We are also Kumon moms and owners of Kumon Centers. What is Kumon? Kumon Math & Reading is as an academic enrichment program we chose for our own children years before we became owners. Our kids were young when we all started so it wasn’t that they needed tutoring, but we wanted to make sure they had a solid foundation of math skills, reading, writing and comprehension skills. We wanted our children to feel confident about school and how to learn!
The three of us noticed that our children were developing skills in swimming, soccer and music by practicing regularly, so we found that a short “learning vitamin a day” in math and reading would be good for our children’s ability to learn and to develop more stamina, focus and concentration to do more challenging things. Our children also learned how to toughen up a bit by working through levels of work that would progressively become harder. This made school a lot easier for them, and they all were able to shine and enjoy other activities deeply. It was so helpful for them to learn to be a little uncomfortable about concepts outside of school so that in school they were prepared for lessons and had the confidence to shine!
We would love to share a Kumon Summer Reading Challenge with you so we can keep our children reading throughout the summer months. The purpose of the Kumon Summer Reading Challenge is to encourage reading in different categories to keep children learning and ready to succeed in school and beyond! The challenge will run from May through August. We encourage reading throughout the summer but will be highlighting ten different categories weekly starting June 21st through August 30th. Join us in the Kumon Summer Reading Program.
We are so glad that after all of these years, not only our children but a countless number of Kumon students in our neighborhoods are able to be strong confident learners and also have more time to play their favorite sport and have more playdates!
