Our Smarty partners at Charlotte Radiology are the PINK headquarters as we head into October for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Their newest debut is the new 3-D Mammography and of course, their convenient Mobile Mammography Unit. In typical Charlotte Radiology fashion, they have teamed up with businesses all over Charlotte to paint this town pink!
Charlotte Radiology Breast Centers are sponsoring several local fundraisers and events throughout the month, in their 7th consecutive year of the October “1-in-8″ breast cancer awareness campaign. A portion of the proceeds from all of these events will benefit Carolinas Breast Cancer Fund, a Levine Cancer Institute initiative. Donations will aid the organization in providing Free Mammography Day in targeted underserved populations.

Pink Pint Night: Wednesday, October 1
On Wednesday, October 1, NoDa Brewing Company is hosting Pink Pint Night with live music, food trucks, raffles, and a special pink brew from 4:00p-8:30p.
Observe the Pink: Friday, October 3
On Friday, food trucks will rally to Observe the Pink. The Charlotte Observer is opening their parking lot (600 N. Tryon St.) to guests from 11a-2p on Friday October 3. The Observer parking lot (600 S. Tryon St.) will be home to a food truck rally featuring some of the area’s most popular food trucks, like Juan Taco, Comfort Foods, and Papa Libretto’s. The event will also feature games and raffles, local sports mascots and the Charlotte Radiology specially designed Bras and “1-in-8” Pink Ladies, whose pink and white costuming illustrates the breast cancer statistic.

Paint it Pink: Monday, October 13
You can Paint it Pink with Wine and Design on Monday, October 13 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Olde Mecklenburg Brewery. Cost is $35 per person, which will include the painting and complimentary drink from OMB. Reservations and pre-payment is required at www.wineanddesign.com/Charlotte.
