Smarties, there’s a new happening hot spot that just hit the restaurant scene: Block & Grinder. Block & Grinder is a unique retail and restaurant concept specializing in premium beef as well as all-natural, organic meats and wild game. Conveniently located in the heart of Cotswold in Providence Plaza, Block & Grinder is neighbors with FlyWheel & the Pink Hanger, to name a few.
Block & Grinder carefully chooses the best ingredients for thoughtful menu items, including all-natural beef, chosen after conducting a blind taste test among the top all-natural beef providers. Complimenting the quality and assortment of meats are premium selections of artisan cheeses, breads, fresh local produce and a well-rounded variety of wines, craft beers and signature cocktails. Block & Grinder’s seasonal menu items will encourage patrons to stretch their palates and to further enhance the experience: the staff has knowledgable recommendations for the best wine, beer and cocktail pairings.
This innovative concept keeps the focus on the food, with farm to table ingredients set within relaxing environment. Block & Grinder boasts a full bar, wine shop and butcher counter all curated for a fresh and exemplary experience. At the neighborhood butcher counter or at the end of their meal, guests can order steaks and meats cut to order to take home with them along with a bottle of wine.
Block & Grinder is the perfect date night spot or your next “Book Club” spot, aka, girls night out. What girlfriend doesn’t like a delish steak paired with the most amazing glass of wine? Block & Grinder’s menu is paleo-friendly and your hubby will love the carnivorous selections.
Seriously, this was the best filet I’ve ever had, cooked to absolute perfection, pretty sure I licked my plate! Desserts were delish, I would recommend the seared pear, out of this world! After our meal, we decided to consult Charlie Wing, the ultimate wine connoisseur, for our “roadie” bottle to take home and enjoy the rest of the evening.
We L-O-V-E-D every morsel, we’ll be back for sure. Again. And again. We plan on being regulars at B&G!
Some of the Y-U-M-M-Y entrees we dined on:
Hanger Steak and Pommes Frites
Leonard’s Biscuits – named for Chef Graham’s Grandfathers secret recipe
The Best Boston Wedge Salad!
Kid-Friendly Mac ‘n Cheese – my kids LOVED this!
Look at this burger – I’m hungry all over again!
Congrats to Chef Graham and the entire B&G team!
