I owe a BIG THANK YOU to Charlotte Junior Gym for kicking off our summer right! Sutton spent her first week of summer at their “Who Let the Dogs Out” themed camp. She was one happy camper, and I was one happy mommy! I got more done while she was tumbling her way through camp than I probably will all summer! TRUST ME, if you are looking for another summer camp option for your three or four year old, this is IT!
Okay, so I don’t sign Sutton up for a ton of camps. Honestly, I love spending the summer watching her enjoy a lazy schedule and soaking up the casual air of the season. Because I do few camps, I pick and take my selections seriously. Instantly, I knew I made a great choice. Each morning Sutton rushed out of the car (via carpool, thank you very much) grinning ear to ear. She couldn’t get enough of the awesome staff and activities. Upon pick-up she talked the ENTIRE way home about the fun she had and new friends she met. She continued to chat right up until she fell asleep mid-sentence. My little “I can avoid a nap at all costs” FELL ASLEEP in her car seat! So apparently, the camp isn’t only fun, but magical.
Three and a half hours of rotating stations included gymnastics, art, story time, and music. They cap it all off with lunch and games. The groups were separated by ages (so no one gets trampled) and the child/instructor ratio remains an impressive 5 to 1. Lots of attention and lots of interaction! Even after she got home, Sutton was twirling, singing, and flipping all over the place (after she woke up from her nap . . . I still can’t get over that). What a week.
Fab news Smarties, they are running camps for six weeks and they still have a few spaces available. Call them at or check out their precious website at http://charlottejrgym.com/.
Kudos Charlotte Junior Gym and thanks for the memories . . .
