One of my all-time favorite shops, formally known as the Plantation Shop, renamed their business this past fall. Whew! I was nervous when I drove by recently and saw the new name, Tennille & Company. But lucky for us, everything is the same. What I like about this shop is that it combines all of the things I need in my life. Beautiful antiques, gifts and home accessories coupled with super cute children’s clothing. Basically, a one-stop shopping for Jen P.! They even have this fabulous zebra pillow (see photo). I was so excited I bought two! What will I do when these animal prints go out of style?! Zebra will never be out in my opinion!
So I was able to get a sneak peak at the spring/summer children’s line by Florence Eiseman. Precious dresses and john-johns and their swimsuits are to-die-for, but extremely pricey at $80 a suit. I will say – I always splurge on one really good swimsuit when we go to Florida and that is always the last one standing in August. My Target varieties are usually shredded by the end of the summer! I did not get a chance to see the spring/summer line for Tennille & Co. but I’m sure it will be presh as usual. I was told that their spring line should be in by the end of the month. Don’t wait too long to buy your Easter outfits though – I would recommend shopping in early February at the latest. These outfits sell out quickly in Charlotte, especially if you like matchy-matchy like myself. My children are going to hate me when they look at their old family photos!
Tennille & Co. is located at the corner of Selwyn Avenue & Colony Road at 2823 Selwyn Avenue in the heart of Myers Park. The store hours are Monday-Saturday, 10am-6pm. Oh, and FYI, this shop is probably not the best place for you to bust out your double stroller since there are so many wonderful antiques and accent pieces throughout the store. I would recommend running in when the kiddies are at school.
Do you have comments about Tennille & Co.? We’d love to hear them!
